Lindsey is on the local competition cheer team. I am so proud of her. She is the youngest member and she keeps up with the team so well!! Lindsey has really found something she enjoys! Although sometimes I think she just likes being around so many girls. Lindsey has really blossomed over the last year! She works hard at everything she does and I'm very impressed that she's almost able to do her back hand spring alone at 6! Wow!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth....
I couldn't resist blogging about Lindsey's lost front teeth. She lost the first one around Halloween and we told her that she looked like a Jack-o-lantern!! Then the 2nd tooth fell out a couple of weeks before Christmas. We taught her the song "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" and she enjoyed it!

More Thanksgiving Fun!!
Family Trip to Washington, D.C.
Daddy and Lindsey on the Metro...
While my family was here at Thanksgiving we felt adventurous and took a trip to Washington, D.C. The whole group!! It was soooooo cold!! WE all froze but at least we can all say that we've been to the White House. It was actually really neat to see! I think we want to go back in the Spring when the temperature is much warmer and hope to see the Cherry blossoms blooming!
Thankful Thanksgiving--- Trip down by the river for pictures!
My family came up to North Carolina for Thanksgiving. I was so excited. I've missed them so much!! We definitely had a house full for the week...look at all these kids...hehe!! We had an excellent time together and it actually went much smoother than I was anticipating! I love my family so much and I appreciate that they all took out the time to come up here and spend Thanksgiving with us! I love you all!
This was our trip down by the river to snap some family photos!! I have to tell the "river" story! I guess we can't really go down by the river with 10 kids and not expect a little drama!! First... Austin fell off the log and into the freezing river....ouch! Then all of the boys were throwing rocks into the river and Drew accidentally threw his rock at Matthew's head...so we called it a day and left immediately.....Matthew ended up going to the Emergency Room and got 1 stitch in his scalp on Thanksgiving Day! What did we expect......hehe?
The First Snow!!
We were excited to see our first snow flurries the week before Thanksgiving. It really doesn't snow much in this area from what we are told but we did get a flurry already. The kids were excited because they finally got to see snow falling. Of course it did not stick to the ground much and didn't last long...but at least they got to make a snowball! We live about 3-4 hours from the mountains and some ski resorts so we plan to take the kids snow skiing sometime this winter.
Matthew's field trip to Jamestown, Virginia
Matthew's 3rd grade class took a field trip to a living museum in Jamestown, Virginia. We both had a great time! It was very interesting learning at the living museum of how people settled in the area. On the way over we got to take a ferry where you drive your car on the ferry that crosses the James river. That was neat since we've never done that before!
